Dr. Lucas Gil Jiménez received his degree in Dentistry at the University of Costa Rica in 1976. Soon after, he traveled to the United States where, in 1981, he received a Master of Science in Mouth Reconstruction (Prosthodontics). That same year, he opened his first clinic and, from the day forward, has actively practiced this specialization as well as Cosmetic Dentistry and Dental Implants.

Dr. Gil returned to the University of Costa Rica where he served as a professor from 1977 to 1979 and from 1981 to 1990.

founding member of the Costa Rican Academy of Prosthodontics, Dr. Gil has served as both Secretary and President of this board. He also belongs to several associations, including the Costa Rican College of Dental Surgeons, the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP), the American Academy of Osseointegration and the John F. Johnson Society for the Advancement Prosthodontics.

Several times a year, Dr. Gil teaches courses nationally and internationally on diverse subjects such as restorative dentistry, dental clinic administration, dental materials, cosmetic dentistry and dental implants.

In 2014, Dr. Gil and his partners founded Milling Dental Technologies, a digital laboratory that offers highly precise milled dental products such as implant support bars, veneers, and crowns and bridges using CAD/CAM Technology. This lab caters to the Gil Dental Group as well as to external dental clinics and labs.

Dr. Gil enjoys yoga and mountain trekking, hobbies he practices several times a week.
